My Orchard Tea Room experience

                                                         The Orchard Tea Room

I visit the Orchard Tea Room regularly and it has become one of my favourite places to visit I love being outdoors the weather is lovely today the sun is shining with a little cold breeze it is defiantly autumn, today I decided to head to the Orchard to write and take some photos I must add That I am not a professional photographer but I do like to take photos whenever I get the chance. It was such a beautiful setting today with apples everywhere so I decided to pick some Bramley apples, I captured this photo I thought was rather charming of this delightful red crate full of freshly picked bramley apples.

I had a lovely walk around the green that everyone calls George’s view, it was so tranquil here today, a lovely couple sitting outside enjoying the view  drinking green tea whilst their dog played fetch. Such  a friendly atmosphere,

The owner himself is quite the character but always very friendly and rather funny. Every time I visit the Orchard I usually go for my usual which happens to be avocado and bacon on bloomers bread which is totally amazing however today I decided on bacon and homemade coleslaw on white soft bloomers bread with a side of homemade potato salad, with so many flavours it really worked well with the bacon and a fresh salad garnish it was served on an endearing antique plate very well presented and to top it off I also had a lemon and lime juice with fresh lemon and lime to garnish Tastes exactly like a mojito but non alcoholic of course and was  very refreshing.

I spent my day relaxing outside in the sun and having some time to my self  I was occasionally asked by the owner if everything was okay and he took time out to speak to he’s customers and make sure everything was satisfactory which I thought was excellent customer service. I couldn’t resist a cheeky slice of cake whilst I was at the Orchard Tea Room and I also had a glimpse of an Orange and Chocolate marble cake being baked as well the smell coming from the kitchen was very sweet and certainly heavenly it reminded me slightly of Jaffa cakes. I would have ordered the chocolate and orange cake if it was ready to be served but unfortunately it wasn’t so that left me deciding for a short time on what to choose as all the cakes look delicious,
there was a great selection of cakes which included cheese scones, coffee cake, orange cake, just chocolate cake, carrot cake (which is one off my all time favourites) Victoria sponge I also have to add that all they’re cakes are freshly made within the Tea Room and are highly recommended
by all that visit. I chose the Orange cake, the portion sizes are very generous and the cake itself tastes amazing with a hot chocolate to finish it off served with cream, marshmallows and chocolate dust coating the top.

The establishment is very clean and family friendly venue. What I like a lot about the Orchard is that it welcomes small local buisnesses to promote their products with in the establishment. Today whilst I was there I saw some beautiful pieces and I had to capture them with a photo, I really liked  the childrens wooden stools as well as the hanging decorations there were also wooden standing ornaments and wall art as well.

At the Orchard Tea Room they have a great selection of juices, jams, sauces and produce all locally produced and sold within the Tea Room fresh eggs can be purchased daily as well as fruit and vegetables that are also grown locally.

Through out the year the Orchard Tea Room hosts a variety of events from charity dog shows to Halloween family oriantated spooky walks, they also have a unique monthly art exhibition that allows small local artists to display their work from water colour paintings, acrylic and oil paintings the exhibitions are diverse and beautiful displaying the art on the walls inside the Tea Room itself allows customers to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake whilst they browse the art.

Conveniently situated just down the road from the Orchard Tea Room is a privately owned field that hosts its own events and attractions one of which is  the wonder circus BUT THATS FOR ANOTHER BLOG POST
